Bridgewater Driving School Owner Tom Gallagher
Aside from
his duties as owner of Bridgewater Driving School, Tom is an Adjunct
Faculty member at The College Of New Jersey, where he teaches the Teacher
Certification course in Driver Education and is also a member of the
Safety Advisory Committee for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission.
Tom Gallagher brings an extensive background spanning thirty-five (35)
years service to the transportation industry.
Responsible for
overseeing the driver-training program at Bridgewater Driving School, Tom
Gallagher calls upon his years as a Professional Driver, Driving
Instructor, and a "Train the Trainer" specialist. Tom's roots are in
driver training and he has held the position of Safety Director for one
of the largest privately owned students transportation outfits in Central
New Jersey, where he developed specialized training programs for their
drivers. From there, Tom accepted a position as 'North East Regional
Safety Director' for the largest privately owned armored car carriers in
the United States where he authored the company's driver training
program, which is used today by it's 3,000 drivers.
The years of
working with drivers and investigating the causes of collisions and
violations and working to reduce those numbers have proven invaluable.
Tom's experience in the field of driver training has shown, and statistic
bear out, that an individuals driving behavior equals one risk factor for
being involved in a collision or receiving a violation. Exhibit a
negative driving behavior and your risk factor increases. Bridgewater
Driving School works to develop within each of its students a sense of
the proper driving behavior that will, in turn, enable them to develop
safe driving habits. Good driving habits equate to a lower risk factor.
