One Stop

Each student registration, vision and written test is conducted at our office. Unlike other driving schools, we do not ask any of our students to accompany us to the NJMVC as part of any registration process.

One Student

To make the overall learning experience less stressful, all lessons are private one-on-one instruction from start to finish. Your lesson starts and ends with you only.

One Way

Each instructor at Bridgewater Driving School uses techniques and terminology developed by Owner/Senior Instructor Tom Gallagher.

WhoCanRegister

Students can register with us at any age. 15yr old applicants can pre-register, which will secure all lessons in advance of their 16th birthday. For students prepping for their NJ Written Exam, our owner Tom Gallagher now hosts a 2 hr online class which focuses on the materials covered on the State Written test and can be taken from the comfort of a home computer. Owner and Senior Instructor Tom Gallagher

Tom Gallagher - Sr. Vice President - has worked in the field of transportation for 38 years. Tom served four years on the Safety Advisory Committee for the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. From 2002 - 2008, Tom was an adjunct faculty member at The College of New Jersey where he taught the Teacher Certification Course in Driver Education.

In 2007, Tom was approached by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission and asked to contribute to the re-write of the New Jersey Driver Manual. He is presently a member of the New Jersey Safe Teen Driver Coalition, working toward the number one goal of keeping teens safe on our roads and was recently named Vice President of the Driving School Association of New Jersey.

Tom developed the Driver's Ed curriculum used by all of the instructors at Bridgewater Driving School. Tom previously authored behind the wheel training programs for major transportation companies both on a local and national level. He called upon his past experiences in driver training to develop his teaching approach. The many years of driver training Tom has accrued is what he now passes on to his instructors who in turn pass on to their students.

Prior to starting Bridgewater Driving School in 2001, Tom worked for driving schools in Central and Northern New Jersey, dating back to 1996.
